Ight , all of the clips were over the span of 2013. The clip where I did the nose bonk over the bench to smith feeble bar I was getting a flat throughout the whole thing so I was on the clock for that clip hahaa but it worked out. For the feeble hard whip in the end I was originally trying to get a feeble hard three on it and I gave myself a pinch flat trying to get that so I switched front wheels with y friend and tried the hard whip instead with his wheel and it just worked out better haha. I'm just really hyped on how the clips came out and it was great filming with all my dudess. As far as nyc street no where else compares. Street riding was born here and so many legends have come out of ny. There's so many different types of spots and I love the opportunity to be creative and do your own thing that these spots allow
  • Freddie Caramanico
    Freddie Caramanico

And nyc is just raw in general I love the grittiness of most of the spots ny has to offer there's almost always something sketchy about most spots haha
  • Robert Thoericht
    Robert Thoericht

haha yeah those were sick clips to, thats great it really did come out good, the fakie crank flip clip was ill man dont let that trick die. it sure as fuck was, you sum that up nicely, i think people who read about it never truly understand just how fucked some of the spots are though, its kinda one of those things you have to experience for yourself. getting to a spot and theres a couple 40s worth of broken glass everywhere and all kinds of other shit makes street riding interesting.
  • Robert Thoericht
    Robert Thoericht

props on it being an all street edit to but yeah when did you first get into bikes and how did it happen
  • Freddie Caramanico
    Freddie Caramanico

thanks man i love crank flips such a fun trick two of my older friends got me hyped on learning them a few months ago hahaa and yaa dude u never know how fucked up a run up is or how many chunks are taken out of a ledge unless ur riding it urself
  • Freddie Caramanico
    Freddie Caramanico

and when i was like 10ish my cousin who skated came from georgia arround christmas to visit and when he was coming to our house he passed by owls head skatepark and was like yo we have to go there so we went there with a skateboard like him hopped the fence and just messed arround. my brother was like 8 at the time and couldnt balance on the board so he brought his bike and long story short i ended up trying his bike and loving it so after that i always went and rode my bike in there and that summer we went like legit everyday and my mom would chill there on a blanket and watch us kus we were so young hahaa
  • Freddie Caramanico
    Freddie Caramanico

and ever since then its like almost 7ish years since then and i love it more than ever
best thing to ever happen to me and it came out of something so random my cousin doesnt even skate anymore hahaa
so yaa i started out riding in owlshead and then once i was a little older started riding street with a few of the older riders and new riders that were arround my age and it became my new favorite thing to ride
i still love owlshead thats my home and i love riding skateparks its a different feeling but i definitely ride street so much more i
  • Robert Thoericht
    Robert Thoericht

yeah i mostly only see street riders doin em, that was with a freecoaster to, where u riding that hub for most of the year? yeah man chunked ledges are all over, i think its cuz nyc has spots that date far back, look how long the brooklyn banks was there ya know.
thats dope man i like how skateboarding started alot of bmx riders haha
    any favorite spots imparticular?
  • Freddie Caramanico
    Freddie Caramanico

yeah ive been riding one since mid summer its the most fun thing ever haha and yeah so many spots in ny are legendary and so oldd
  • Robert Thoericht
    Robert Thoericht

like the hubba down the big 6 at the globe, cool thing is how every couple years people concrete the gaps, or on the ledge in front of the globe with the grate gap
  • Freddie Caramanico
    Freddie Caramanico

and hmm dewy in Brooklyn is definitely my favorite street spot its pretty close to me and its like a skatepark theres so much shit to do there
dewy is the spott where i did that nose bonk smith feelble bar the crook 180 clip and the manny whip
  • Robert Thoericht
    Robert Thoericht

ok cool i was gona say where is this dewy haha
so ya think crankflips are easier on a freecoaster?
by your edit its kinda weird to think you run a freecoaster lots of times dudes get into that low and tech fakie everything mode
glad to see your still huking bangers with it
  • Robert Thoericht
    Robert Thoericht

how long did ur filmer spend editing the video? u know what cam and software he used to ?
  • Freddie Caramanico
    Freddie Caramanico

haha actually i have to kick it harder for the cranks to spin with a coaster but yaa nothing much about my riding changed when i got the coaster it just opened up alot more doors and i look at spots differently than i did before thats why i love it i have 4 pegs to use every spot to its full potential and i feel that the coaster just opens more doors like that yaknow
  • Freddie Caramanico
    Freddie Caramanico

and i edited it with the free windows movie maker lol and the cam is a toshiba camileo x200 which i had to superglue an adapter to the front because it doesnt have threads built into it lmaooo
  • Robert Thoericht
    Robert Thoericht

nyc has one of the best if not THE best street riding scenes in the world, your video had a real nice crew vibe to it, always homies chillin around at the spot, do you think you would have progressed the way you did and been this stoked on bmx without the crew ?
there is a dope feeling im sure your familiar with when u mob down a street ill deep bmx riders playing in traffic on the way to the next spot.
  • Freddie Caramanico
    Freddie Caramanico

hell yeah my crew is everything bmx is great but it would suck with no good friends to ride with and chill with and hype eachother up
    everyone feeds off eachother
mobbing arround the streets is the best feeling ever thats one of the reasons i love street the best because of that freedom
  • Robert Thoericht
    Robert Thoericht

yeah man it totaly does, i like how you had a nice balance between the tech and bangers, 4 peg is the only way man haha
haha yeah im runnin the same shit for the gutted videos, haha do what you gota do man
atleast its not a taped on toilet paper roll "fish eye"
  • Freddie Caramanico
    Freddie Caramanico

hahaa yeah exactly and i actually just ordered a new cannon t3i so im so hyped to get that and film with it now
  • Robert Thoericht
    Robert Thoericht

yeah man it is, i think nyc has it the best to, so many people and traffic it gets hectic as fuck and everyone is in a hurry to be somewhere,
hows the winter going for you? in nyc because the snow just gets shitty then piles somewhere spots die for a while after every snowfall, do hit up owlshead or any other parks?
  • Freddie Caramanico
    Freddie Caramanico

and i especially love riding with newer dudes because i feel like helping the newer riders learn and really get hyped on riding is the best thing ever
thats what the older riders in my neighborhood did for me
  • Freddie Caramanico
    Freddie Caramanico

yaa the weather is rough but ive been going to 5050 alot to escape the weather it has one of the best vibes and set ups of any skatepark its just hard kus i dont drive so we usually get there by the train to the city then the ferry to staten island but its worth it to get a nice sesh in and escape the winter aha
  • Robert Thoericht
    Robert Thoericht

the t3i is a wondrous machine bro your gona love it. my sisters got one that ill "borrow" occasionally but i never want to give it back. wise choice
yeah man u gota keep passing on the get stoked on bmx vibes,
oh yeah and the ferry is free.
so how old are you now and you have any plans for your next video ?
and what do you think you would be doing if you were not riding bmx ?
  • Freddie Caramanico
    Freddie Caramanico

im 17 and not really i dont plan videos just film clips im hyped on and something just comes out of that haha and dam i honestly have no idea i know thats really cliche but riding has been a part of my life for so long i cant imagine what else i would be doing
prob messing arround with cameras photograpy and shit but idk i dont really like organized sports that much
  • Robert Thoericht
    Robert Thoericht

thats wasup, some of the best shit specialy with bmx cant be planned right ? im sure you have come across a new spot and its made you think of some new trick combo right ?
haha yeah man i get ya, who chose the angles for the camera with this video? was it bolth u and the filmer or what ?
hahaha yeah bmx has alot more freedom, compared to other things like skateboarding/scooters/blades its got the most, u can ride on grass/dirt
  • Robert Thoericht
    Robert Thoericht

u fucks with trails at all, like cuningham or the new one down by the wiliamsburg brudge ?
  • Freddie Caramanico
    Freddie Caramanico

hell yeah that backwards feelbe to smith turn arround smith was the first time i ever went to the spot i love going to new spots and shit just hits you yaknow and it was me and my friend Tyson who figured out how shit should be filmed and all that mostly
    fuckyeah cunningham is SICK
i love dirt its so fuckin scarry haha that rush is insane
  • Freddie Caramanico
    Freddie Caramanico

we used to have little trails in the park down the block but they got destroyed over and over
  • Robert Thoericht
    Robert Thoericht

after watching that clip i knew i had to post the video haha, yeah thats how to do it, dam buildin trails here is tough but theres spots out there, near train tracks and shit haha,
so u got any riders, videos, or companies that get you stoked before we wrap this up ?
nyc is home to some interesting companies and tons of riders, any locals that stand out ?
  • Freddie Caramanico
    Freddie Caramanico

Well of course garret Reynolds is the craziest dude ever but van homan , Ryan nyquist , literally the entire bsd crew, Nigel and Edwin of course the whole cult team and idk there's so many more sick riders with different styles that get me so hyped to ride I have so many favorite riders haha and like locals as in dudes I ride with or like local legends of nyc?
  • Freddie Caramanico
    Freddie Caramanico

Also van homans criminal mischief where he does the HUGE whip for the banger is the best thing ever that is my favorite part ever
Gives me the 😮 face everytime Lmaoo
  • Robert Thoericht
    Robert Thoericht

nice, and bolth dude, if they got videos up they might be on the gutted blog if not il put em up, yeah man i think more riders need to see criminal mischief, videos like that cant die,
hahahaha yeah man, spread that shit to the newer riders to, those videos were influential as fuck
  • Freddie Caramanico
    Freddie Caramanico

Well all of the older riders like the OGs of owlshead and shit all will always stand out to me because I got my style of riding from them
  • Robert Thoericht
    Robert Thoericht

thats wasup dude, dont loose that style itl take you somewhere in life man
so i think that wraps it up unless theres anything else u wana add
i appreciate you taking the time to answer these questions and shit dude, thanks for your time
since you live in nyc the postage will be cheap so if you throw me your adress ill send you some Gutted Jester stickers if ya want.
  • Freddie Caramanico
