So in bmx there's a huge influence deriving from metal. Nothing gets me more hype while riding my bicycle while listening to metal. And nothin better then a motorhead song backing some awsome ass roofdrops.
The first video on this(http://bmxmdb.com/films/84-Expendable-2) site, the intro to the film "expendable 2" w/ Taj Mihelich, Dave Mirra, & Chris Doyle from 99' has got the song Punishment Due from Megadeth. Chris Doyle had a part in the "Anthem II" video from 2011 which was rated #1 bmx video of that year and was all about rock & roll. Last night I witnessed two of the gods, Dave Mustaine & Zakk Wylde w/ my concert brother Matt Stypolkowski. Before the concert we both chugged a bottle of vodka i stole from the house, then we smoked a doobie behind the venue hiding behind megadeth's 18 wheeler, and then finished off another vodka right before giving in our ticket. The venue in indoor which i prefer and is right here in Manhatten. We were in G.A., which is the place to be. It costed me a bit over $60 but really worth it. The lineup was Newsted, Black Label Society, Megadeth... I'll go through them sequentially. Before I go to concerts I always research every band playing, and Newsted didn't really catch my eye apart from other metal bands this day and age but they were phenomenal opening. Them being first act & getting the crowd of older generation metalheads to start a mosh pit a good 3 hours before megadeth went up just goes to show. They're albums aren't too good, but live they sound way better and they really did get that spark going. They played for about an hour & a half. Then Black Label Society came up next and shit they were fucking awsome. Zakk is as close as you'll ever get to Dimebag, and you can smell the zeppelin influence somehow. BLS is also a band that's way better live then in studio, Zakk just gives off energy like a fucking viking leading brothers into battle. If its true that Pantera might do a reunion tour w/ Zakk I think that would be the craziest shit. After BLS i was so dead, i passed out leaning against the wall in the back of g.a. My bro mat woke me after like 20 and we went to the bathrooms to drink tap water psshhhtttt as if we would pay $6 for a bottle of water, fucking venue's milking us. And when we got back to G.A. Megadeth started. They were fucking awsome, i surfed 7 times and Megadeth was being recorded for a tour movie i'm deff on that shit. I got thrown to the front while surfing and dave was soloing i flipped him off so hard i was like 4 ft away. He looked at me and Chris Broderick ran up and gave me that metal glare right before security pulled me back. Dave admitted their new albums ain't what their old albums are and the ran all the hits shit, hanger 18, in my darkest hour, sweating bullets, trust, a tout le monde, she wolf, symphony of destruction, peace fucking sells, and yes they fucking closed out w/ the punishment due. My head's still spinning. Stay true to true music. Megadeth's always been my fave of the big 4, only metal band I think is better is fucking Pantera.
