sunday third wave frame review

Here we have my "Sunday Thirdwave" frame. In my opinion the wave frames are the most bomb proof frames ever constructed, not to mention you're not sacrificing any weight, as the frame is 4lbs 12.8oz, weight to strength ratio is remarkable. I got mine w/ a 21" toptube, and i love this frame because the long back end, which promotes dirt jumping and high hops, which is what i live for. In the third picture you can see the most notable thing about this frame is the under downtube gusset which is rippled, which is where the "wave" came from, along w/ the whole downtube being rippled, there is one big ripple underneath the toptube, which creates a brake cable channel, and the whole top & sides of the toptube are rippled. The purpose of these ripples is mainly to be dent resistant when you throw your bike at trees, but also those wave create little arches, which have abilities of distributing stress on the frame. In the fourth picture shows how stretched my back end is w/ the wishbone chainstay junction which isn't just incredibly strong, but provides space for me to run an inverted mds sprocket, few other frames you can do that with. In the final picture im showin how nice and thick the drop outs are, thats right, 8mm. Dont worry you weight whores theyre hollow, but still much stronger than normal 5mm dropouts. The downtube is double butted, the seatube is internally butted, the seatstays and chainstays are tapered. Special factors of this frame are that it has integrated chain tensioners which are quite helpful if your particular about your chain tension, but if you ride a female rear hub like i used to it eats at the tensioner everytime u tighten or loosen the bolt, eventually the pins ware down and become useless, but they can be easily taken out and the frame still works fine.
