odyssey tomahawk stem review

Here we got the "Odyssey Tomahawk" stem, i traded my old s&m stem for this, and straight off the bat there's 3 things i like about it... 1. Its named tomahawk, which is a native american weapon, and i have much respect for them. 2. Its got a smooth rounded backside, which reminds me of my days riding eastern completes and how when i mash my knee against my stem it wouldn't hurt as much as a normal pinch bolt. 3 My name is the first 3 letters of TOMahawk, so when i do tuck no-handers on dirt jumps don't be afraid to say Tom(is)a-hawk. Anywho, unlike the elementary stem (which i owned and quickly traded a few years ago, and the Lincoln stem which my friend owned and quickly traded a month ago, this stem is actually as legit as you would come to expect from odyssey. Their other stems slip ridiculously. This one never slipped on me yet, and ive done some doozy drops to nose cases on it. Tips are make sure u ride as little headset spacers as possible because this stem needs the clamping area on the fork. also this is not the elementary stem, so don't be afraid to put torque on the pinch bolt, you won't crush your fork like the elementary would crush your bars (because it will). This stem is Chase Hawk's sig, and is forged from 6061-T6 aluminum. Its got 53mm reach which i find really comfortable, and is built to be ridden like im riding it, or upsidedown, so not your typical frontload, others frontloads WILL be put under strange forces and WILL break, ive seen it happen. Its a typical weight at 9oz, and its Rise is 9.5mm Upright(which is how im riding it) or 22.5mm Inverted. Highly reccomended especially if you ride freecoaster like me, because everynow & then you tend to slam your knee due to the slack, and this stem makes it a lil bit more of a pleasant experience.
