i like odessey and i love g sport. but not all of their products. without this guard my hub would have been dead along long time ago. this thing has taken so many ice picks i can not count that high. i am not disappointed with the product or anything like that. my only qualm is with my expectations of the guard. i thought it would last longer knowing the quality of g sport. i put this guard through hell but it ended up bending in on multiple occasions, breaking spokes and making crank flips suck for awile, after re lacing half my wheel. i now dont run a hub guard. i will take the venture to a local bmx shop and pick another one up but for now its handrails and mellow ledges.
thing did what it was suppose to do. i would have exploded the bsd one even faster, and a big part of it has to do with abuse. as in going too fast and landing too sketchy on a gnarly fucked up street ledge new york city is known for and holding onto an ice pick. i smashed this bitch up and i am a very satisfied customer. however having to buy a new one is lame, with the wonder of what if they made it out of 4130 heat treated chromoly alloy plagues my mind.
