- i always fuck with new grips, i have messed with tons, my top currently are fly ruben, odi, animal, thats about it. these fly grips are my winter and everything but summer grip. they do wear down faster then odi, but slower then animal, however they feel soft like animal. in the photo you can barely tell but the left side actually flares out. first time i rode a grip with this feature. i think it makes a big difference. a nice pair of grips, peddles and tires can change a riders whole perspective of bmx. your first custom part should be grips, peddles or tires i think, dont fuck up your shiny new complete by throwing down way too much money to not know what you want.
i love these grips but they usually last me only half a riding season, like half of fall or spring. they do not handle sweat the best however in everything but summer i never have a problem. in summer i switch to odi. i barely get my hands on animals anymore due to how fast they wear out, they are very soft but my odi grips have not gotten me bored yet.
